Ephesians 3:6 The Unsearchable Riches of Christ

Ephesians 3:6 "that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel,"

Fellow heirs or joint enjoyers of an allotment (CLNT) What is the allotment, what are we fellow heirs of? Fellow means "along with", in this case along with Christ. We are joint heirs with Christ. We are heirs of the Universe. Hebrews 1:2 says it this way, "God...has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;" What are we worried about? Retirement? What if the stock market crashes? What if the banks close? Is retirement really that important when at the coming of Jesus Christ those that are His are going to receive a joint allotment with Him that is equal to the Universe? Is there a payout on the planet that will even come close. That's what Paul meant when he preached the unsearchable riches of Christ. Ephesians 3:8

I think the unsearchable riches of Christ are things like the fruits of the spirit and peace of mind. We already have a part of the inheritence here on earth. The teacher the comforter, the Holy Spirit. Living within us, guiding us, filling us with joy, easing our minds. If you don't know Christ, you don't have that. It is not your inheritence. Can you imagine not having that in your soul? Being disconnected from the family? Not knowing the Father. In knowing him we inherit a piece of God living within us to help us through this life until the day we're united with our royal family. You can search and do all you want to achieve the gifts but until you ask you will not receive. So I believe we already have unsearchable riches if you know God through Christ Jesus.

P.S. I tend to ramble and be way off subject so feel free to let me know if I am..lol...

Lori, I stand corrected. I believe you are right. The unsearchable riches of Christ are available to us, although few really know the unsearchable riches of Christ in this life. In comparison to life with Christ after the rapture/snatching away, the riches we enjoy now are just a taste of what is to come when we reign with Christ in the heavens. Great comments, thanks for keeping me in check. Grace, MB
